Where walking is a pleasure

Code of Conduct

Remember this is your space - a place to share your passion for walking and tell us your views. In order to keep it a friendly place, we have a few guidelines on appropriate behaviour. The administrators reserve the right to remove posts that violate these guidelines.

  • Look at the Guidance-for-writing-style.pdf in the Document library for tips on use of language.
  • Make sure that your report is interesting, and if possible witty.
  • Please stay on topic. Don't add comments about something unrelated to what the original post is about.
  • Aim to make it a positive report that is likely to encourage new members. If you do include negative comments, ensure they are proportionate and given in context.
  • Do not single out any named person for any offensive remark.
  • Try to include at least one photo, but be aware that files larger than 1 Megabyte cannot be uploaded (see Resizing images).
  • For Future Events and for Stop Press, put the date at the start of the title, for example “20 Oct: Middleport Pottery Tour“ or “28 Dec: Boxing Day Plus”.
  • Bear in mind that some members are uneasy about being identified on web-sites, so avoid naming people on pictures.
  • Do not solicit or market products.
  • As a general rule, specify any link to an external web-site to Open in new Window.
