Where walking is a pleasure

Today, no less than twenty six walkers joined Alan B at at Brown Edge where the fine weather produced stunning views from the Marches Hill car park. We set off downhill along fieldpaths and lanes to reach Endon and then carefully crossed the A53 to follow the route of a very disused railway line. As always, a downhill start meant an uphill finish, but we took our time and returned to our cars safely. Rehydration needs to be a key aspect of walking in warm weather with the beer garden of the Top Pub providing post-walk drinks of all sorts alongside convivial conversation.

Thank you, Alan, for a very pleasent event.
