Description

This Middleton is a few miles north of Belsay and about 3 miles east of Wallington Hall. Walks in this area can take in Shaftoe Crags, from where there are panoramic views of the Simonside Hills and the coast in the distance, and the Devils Punchbowl. There is also a gap in the sandstone called Salter's Nick, once used by smugglers taking salt to Scotland or smugglers bringing whiskey to England. As if this is not enough there is also Bolam Lake country park!

Coach Fare: £15. Cash Only. (Children, who must be accompanied by an adult: over 5 - £5, under 5 -free)

The coach leaves from Claremont Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 4PT

It will be there for boarding from 9.00am and will depart at 9.30am

The coach leaves our finishing point at 17:00 pm to return to Newcastle

Refreshments are always available at the end of the walks before the return to Newcastle
