| Details | Rowarth & Lantern Pike - Thur 16 Jan BOOKING REQUESTED From Rowarth a walk with a longer and shorter option. North to Far Slack and on up to Coombes Edge. South to Higher Plainstead Farm and onto the Pennine Bidleway across Matley Moor. Optional ascent to Lantern Pike then north back to Rowarth, OR the shorter option west back to Rowarth omitting Lantern Pike. Risk assessment: Some steady ascents. May be muddy in places if wet. A small amount of road walking, and caution required crossing Monks Road. May be a few cattle on Matley Moor. A stony descent to Rowarth near the end of the walk. |
