Where walking is a pleasure

Walk ID 100188665
Group AV02 Somer Valley Group
Date Wed 29 November 23, 1015 days ago
Details Winter stroll around the Somerset Coalfield, part 1

We meet at Pensford Village Hall and walk to view the three collieries in the Pensford area, Bromley, Pensford and Rydon.  There is a walk uphill at the start of the walk and a wet and muddy uphill footpath to  negotiate which you may find easier with the use of a walking pole.

The walk of about 5 miles is in country lanes and footpaths across fields so expect some mud.  Please wear suitable footwear and winter clothing.  Pensford is accessible by public transport.  Please see  http://www.travelinesw.com/ to plan your journey by bus.

Sorry for yet another change.  No pub visit but you are most welcome to soup and rolls at the walk leaders house after the walk.
