While today's weather was mixed, the short burst of rain did not deter the twenty ramblers who joined me today. We made our way towards Hen Cloud passing Upper Hulme and climbing steadily past Well Farm. Following good paths through moorlands and mature pine trees, we then descended to Roaches Hall, a former hunting lodge and built by Sir Philip Brockhurst in 1876, and were rewarded with great views towards the Roaches and Tittesworth reservoir before we finally followed lowland paths back to the cars. Afterwards some of us went for a well earned drink at the Three Horse Shoes PH.
