On a chilly Sunday morning approximately nineteen walkers set off on a five mile walk around Park Hall Country Park led by Brian W. While the weather was cold, our spirits remained high due to the excellent views of the snow covered landscape. The walk was mainly on hard tracks passing through open fields, woodlands, a quarry and a frozen lake which provided ideal photo opportunities and a welcome tea break.

Today, a group of jolly ramblers set off on our Christmas mince pie walk through Apedale and its surrounding countryside with only the occasional muddy patch. It was a lovely walk led by Alan B with particular thanks also due to Pat & Paul for their delicious mince pies and to Maggie & Howard for their fine tipple of sherry at the coffee stop. A festive time was had by all 27 participants.

Twenty three ramblers joined Al W and myself on today's 6 1/2 mile walk from Madeley. Thankfully the weather stayed fine and dry as we walked on lanes and through fields to Wrinehill Wood and Lower Thornhill before continuing to Onnerley and then making our way back along Red Lane. Afterwards some went to the Offley Arms for postwalk refreshments.

More than fifty ramblers attended today's walk prior to the Staffordshire area Ramblers AGM starting from Caverswall Village Hall. We were split into two groups walking clockwise and anti-clockwise around a circular route from Caverswall to Dilhorne. We were pleased that the weather stayed dry and sunny, although it was muddy underfoot in some places.
After the walk at the village Hall our hosts provided a variety of cakes and biscuits together with tea and coffee, and the guest speaker after the AGM was a volunteer from Midlands Air Ambulance charity who was very informative concerning the day to day running costs of the charity and her role as a volunteer.

Twenty five ramblers joined today's 4 mile walk around Scholar Green. We made our way through Bluebell Wood to Church Lawton Church and then, after a short tea break in a graveyard, we followed good tracks and paths back to Scholar Green Village Hall for our group annual general meeting.
