The Capewell Naylor Trophy Services to the Environment 2025 has been presented to Tony Adair by Nick Hayes, Chairman of Audley Rural Parish Council, to recognise the footpath work that the Stoke/Newcastle Ramblers Footpath team (West) have completed in the 7 years that they have been working together. The team comprises Tony, Howard C, Rosemary, Linda B and Linda W.

Twenty five ramblers joined today's morning walk from Oakamoor. We walked into Star Wood with the sun filtering through the leaves of the trees and then made our way to Moneystone quarry and Key Wood before following a disused railway line back to the start. After the walk, nearly all of us stopped at the Cricketers Arms for a well deserved drink.

Twenty ramblers joined Howard C for today's walk. We started in Hartington and made our way to Sheen Village, past the bottom of Sheen Hill and then on to Pilsbury before following a track back to the cars. Afterwards, we stopped at the Charles Cotton Hotel for a drink.

The small car park at Rushton Spencer was soon full with the twenty nine ramblers who joined this walk. The first three miles were well shaded from the sun, but this soon changed. After our coffee break, a steep climb towards Hollin Hall and Heaton Low lead out of the valley, through wide open meadows, and along quiet lanes before returning to the cars. As the weather was so warm, we sat outside with refreshing drinks at the Knot Innn.

Twenty one ramblers began this walk with a challenging hill climb out of Rushton Spencer. We then followed field boundaries onto quiet lanes and stopped at the Bridestones ancient burial site for a break. Afterwards we walked via Cloudside to the Staffordshire Way, and then through a wood full of bluebells before following a disused railway line back to the cars. At the end of the walk a group of us decided to have a well earned drink at the Knot Inn.
